Undefeated 18+ Militia triumph over the Bulls!

I’ve always
wanted to put together my own team of friends to play baseball with , maybe for
the last time ever as life takes us in different directions daily. The Militia
team started with a few guys I met from the initial team such as Sean Prince,
Ben Simpson, John Hicks, Kevin Vaught, Chris Belanski, Tyler Neloms and myself.
I then reached out to other players from my Stafford Militia Babe Ruth All Star
teams from 2014-16. We finished as high as 3rd in the state of Virginia in
2015. The new players consisted of Brad Sullivan and his brother Zach, Gunnar
Goodell, David Tignor, Connor English, Scott Doescher, Cody Harrell and my Dad
to be our player/coach.
We actually had a few practices before the
season started and some important bonding sessions to just hang out and talk
baseball. This season was very special to me and one I’ll never forget. Thanks
to Ron and Legends Baseball for the opportunity to continue to play this great
game we all love.

30+ Padres bring home the championship!

It’s always good to win the last game of the season. The
Padres 2018 Finals victory was particularly satisfying for multiple reasons
none more so than how it encapsulated our season. All season long the entire
team stepped up at one point or another to get a clutch hit or make a great
play in the field. And we never gave up. The Spring 2018 playoffs with our come
from behind win in the semi finals and our dominant performance in the finals
perfectly illustrate how we played all season. It was truly a team effort with
everyone contributing to bring home the win.
The Padres roster is filled with guys who love to play
ball, enjoy playing together, and like to win. This ‘Padres Spirit’ is
particularly evident in our Spring 2018 MVP Blake Dunn. As our lead off hitter
Blake is the spark plug to our offense; In the field Blake plays wherever we
need. Over the course his tenure on the Padres he has played Center Field, Third
Base, Shortstop, Second Base and Catcher and very rarely Pitcher. At every
position he is aggressive and present. I believe every player on our team will
agree that he is a great teammate.
Now it’s on to Fall.
